    • Stress

    • Stress is a major cause of anxiety, restlessness, and sleeplessness. Stress has the potential to harm our health. Over a long period of time, drops of water falling in the same location will wear away the earth. Stress is cumulative, and when left unchecked, it can affect every aspect of our lives. Stress is a condition in which a person's mental or emotional strain or tension is caused by unpleasant or very demanding circumstances. The difference between stress and eustress is that stress is a feeling of tension or worry, whereas eustress is an exciting sensation in your stomach when you are doing anything fun, such as exercising or receiving a new job assignment. Life events (such as getting married or having a kid) are examples of eustress.
    • However, there is a point at which our suffering becomes excessive. It happens when we overwork ourselves, don't get enough sleep, have trouble with family issues, work obligations, or lack nutritional intake. When we're stressed, the adrenal glands secrete cortisol, a hormone that aids in the use of proteins, carbohydrates, and fats to produce energy to deal with whatever is causing the stress. The typical pattern is for cortisol levels to be higher in the morning and lower throughout the day, allowing us to relax at night. However, if stress persists throughout the day and creates a demand for more cortisol, adrenal exhaustion and unnaturally high levels of cortisol can result in sleeplessness, blood sugar abnormalities, high blood pressure, fat accumulation, exhaustion, and other symptoms.

    • Valerian Root (300 mg per capsule)

    • Valerian root has been used for millennia to improve sleep and reduce restlessness. In fact, valerian was known as All Heal in medieval times because it was thought to have so many healing properties. The majority of valerian research today has centered on its capacity to aid in the formation of healthy sleep patterns. Authors of a study published in Pharmacopsychiatry (March 2000) found that when valerian was taken regularly for at least eight days to two weeks, participants showed significant increases in the ability to fall asleep and achieve deep sleep for optimal rest.
    • Passionflower (200 mg per capsule)

    • Native Americans chewed passionflower to relax their nerves. Its components include maltol, ethyl-maltol, and some flavonoids, which are well known for their calming effects and another component passiflorine, which has been reported to induce sleepiness.
    • Hops Flower (75 mg per capsule)

    • Hops flowers are well-known for their effectiveness as a sleep aid, resulting in a restful sleep without negative effects. In fact, hops might be found in sleep pillows to promote calmness during slumber. It's worth noting that European herbalists recognized hops as a digestive tonic long ago.

    Directions
